Dungeon Castration

Okay I just saw on the local news that there were three men arrested for performing castrations on other men in their basement. This is so scary, not for the reason that most the hillbillies and rednecks and Jesus freaks think. This is scary to me because I feel frightened that so many people are having to resort to castrating themselves or having to pay someone else to do it for them ion their dungeon. Why aren't more doctors willing to perform this procedure? Why isn't this section of society shown more respect and tolerance? I think some of it is that most of America is completely uneducated about it. They had a bunch of hicks atop their John Deere being interviewed on the piece and they were just talking about how sick or weird it was. The investigator even mentioned that he thought the participants were willing and he had no clue as to why they would allow this to take place. Umm.. Well Mr. big investigator with all your brilliance, you've obviously never heard of an orchiectomy or it's purpose. So before you solve the case perhaps a little research might be a good idear- yeehaw! I was also obviously frustrated with the angle the news took on the whole story. They passed judgement without all the facts on to other impressionable viewers. This only adds to our problem of being shown in a negative light. I would love to have seen a story about how the pure desperation of the struggling transgendered can lead to back alley kinds of surgery. A piece on how insurance will not recognize this procedure and how dangerous it is to stay on large doses of hormones without the surgery, or the brave plight of these people to be their best. Basically, know the whole story before you report to avoid making more of a twisted mess.
