Coming Out

I had a surprise waiting for me when I got home from work this weekend. Beth broke the news to me that my in laws could possibly be moving in with us for a bit, in two weeks. WOW! I have sooooo many feelings about this, you cannot even imagine. Anyways, I continue to ask Beth when we plan on letting them in on our little secret. You know, break the big news? Well as I keep asking, she keeps replying that we will simply have to take it day by day. Um. oookay! I am stressed beyond belief. I have been fretting all this time and then it suddenly came to me. I have the ultimate, fail proof plan for inning the parents about us coming out. You see, although you may not all know this I am pure genius. Shocking, I know, but I try to be humble.

Anyways, I was sorting through the mail today when I discovered the ad for Wal-mart. The highly moral and wholesome family store, which makes this plan even more perfect. Okay, so I saw that they have an entire family camping kit for only $100.00 , chairs, bags, tent and all. Really a very good deal. And, seeing as Chance has been begging to go camping I thought, yeah, PERFECTION!

We can take them camping, in the middle of nowhere, far from civilization to tell them their son is really their daughter. This way they can scream as loudly as they want to without reservation. We can chat endlessly over the toasting of marshmallows. They have to face it and deal with it, being confined in one single tent together as one big happy family, right? Honestly the overdose of graham crackers with melted chocolate bars is sure to brighten the mood, don't you think? I figure even if all else fails it would take them a while to make their way back home through the rugged mountain terrain. And by that time hopefully we would have moved and we'd be living under assumed names in Montana as I write alternative children's books like; Learn your ABC's With Two Gay Transsexual Mommies. Has a nice ring to it, wouldn't you agree? I told you, BRILLIANCE!
