The Rumor Zone

I am so tired of all the feuds and rumors between all of my co-workers. The entire store is like a giant soap opera. The thing is, I am sort of on the lucky side of things. Because my issues are openly out on the table I have no reason to be anxious about rumors. I don't necessarily go around airing my dirty laundry, but I'm far from shy. If anyone asks me about anything I will always give them an honest direct answer. I'm not ashamed of anything, nor have anything to hide. It's when people have too much pride to be themselves and show people the truth where there is cause for rumors. People are always more transparent than they think and eventually the truth will be discovered. Trust me it is much more comfortable and liberating to be honest with yourself and those around you. Are you afraid of being disliked? So what? The spread of rumors can be more damaging to your image than if you were to just be upfront and honest in the first place. Isn't it better to be disliked for being honest than to be liked for being a liar? What's better for your conscience?
