Family Treasures

I had mentioned before about this week of school incorporating the theme of family into the lessons. I had a certain amount of interest in how the teacher would handle our family's unique construction. Well much to my surprise I was extremely happy with a book my son made in class. He just brought it home and the teacher has openly respected our family. Chance drew a picture of our family and the teacher wrote in who each of the important family treasures were. The book includes very proudly, Mommy, MAMA, Sissy and Chance. It really means a lot that in this small conservative town this preschool has so far been very cooperative and respectful of our wishes for bringing our children up in the loving, encouraging home promoting patience and tolerance we are working so hard to establish.
