Calgon Take Me Away

Sometimes it is necessary for moms to take a timeout too! This was quite the case the other night so I decided to take a hot bath to escape for a moment. Hoping this would be a "Calgon take me away " break it was quite the opposite- but hey I'm used to it. Anyways My three year old son somehow is clever enough to unlock the door now. He kept coming in while I was trying to shave and he was full of curious questions. He was thoughtful enough to bring in his favorite tub toys for me. I said" okay honey thank you, that's enough". He exited and I thought I was rid of him. Nope. A minute and a half later he brings in an entire handful of muddy cars for me and chucked them into my clean bath water. I was beginning to lose my patience with him. Then he said that he wanted me to be careful so I didn't cut myself shaving because he loved me and never wanted me to get hurt. Ooohhh. How could I be angry? He finally left me in peace so I decided to exfoliate with some fancy-schmancy tub of goop from Bath and Body. When I was done I got out feeling a lot more human than I did twenty minutes ago. So I"m feeling' all sexy and rarely smooth. I get all pretty for my love in my "good" pair of sweatpants and try to snuggle up. Hoping to impress her she embraces me and I'm ready to hear sweet pillow talk and she says"you smell like a candle" A CANDLE???? Somehow this doesn't flow with the moment. I can't seem to stop thinking about the candle remark and whether this was a compliment. Is she turned on by me smelling like a candle? A guy would say oh baby you smell good. My girlfriend thinks candle. hmmmm?
